Looking for a Blazer/ Jimmy Body - 11.24.2010, 12:58 PM

I'm trying to find a body for one of my vehicles. It looks like Parma no longer sells these bodies and I was wondering if anyone had one or knew of one at a local hobby shop for sale?

These are the 82-93 S-10 Chevy/GMC Blazer/Jimmy bodies.

I have a 92 GMC Typhoon and would like to paint the body to match my truck.

If I do end up finding one I plan on trying to send it back to Parma (Or anyone else that is willing)to see if they can reproduce them.

Thanks for the help,
Nick

If you can find a vacuum forming shop, they can reporduce them. Dunno the cost tho if they have to make molds.

G/l finding one. I had that s10 blazer thru hs and college and always wanted a typhoon. :)

Me too :) Red 84 S-10 with the 2.8L engine (biggest at the time) and 5-speed manual with all the heavy duty options. I do miss that truck though.

I'm going to start with Parma since they originally producted the bodies. If they have no interest then I will look else where. I hope Parma will want to product them again. I e-mailed them a little while back and they said the molds they had broke so that is why they couldn't make anymore. I wonder how much work it would be to make new molds if they have a body to work with?

My Typhoon has been a lot of fun. It has been a work in progress for the last 10 years.

Here's a picture.

Proline has the 1980 Blazer, but just a few years too early in the model...
