Brushless Jammin!!! - 04.16.2006, 10:25 AM

Hey guys, I'm going to be building up a brushless Jammin X1-CR Buggy! Anyone have experience doing it? I think it's going to be relatively simple to do, I'm going to make a mounting plate over the center diff (replacing stock). The center plate is going to be the hard part, I'll probabely bang one out in bronze plate first as a prototype and then get a machinest to make it (I may even sell it if it works well). Well, just wanted to get this thread started to document progress and get some input!

If it uses the standard Ofna diff, then you can use the plastic spur gear from Kyosho for the Landmaxx. cspurlock uses it on his Ofna differentials, and I too will be using one on a Hyper 7 diff in my 1/8 buggy.

The spur from the landmaxx is rather tough too, it is that red spur right? with the steel collar? it eats its way thru the pinions.

I don't think it is a red spur gear. cspurlock has it on the Hyper 8 in this thread:

That gear is black.

Kyosho has two plastic gears. The one form the landmax is IF147 which is a 44T, and the mp-7.5 sport buggy uses the IF148 which is a 46T. Landmax use to have a red gear, but not sure what the tooth count on that is.
