Savage Flux bodies

I didn't search so I'm sure somewhere somebody has already discussed this but....What bodys fit on a flux and fit and look GOOD? Post your findings and pictures. Specifically I want to get a new body for my flux and I want it to still look like a monster truck yet I want some thicker material than the stock bodies. Only offering that seems suitable from proline is a F-650 body and I have never seen an actual MT that looked anything like a F-650.

ProLine Bug (long version, even if they say differently, idiots.. in fact most of the ProLine bodies are listed WRONG. Check the wheelbase of the Flux, use TowerHobbies who generally have the wheelbase listed for the ProLine shells, and use that as a reference)



But really any body for the Savage X will basically fit the Flux (see the HPI Savage X manual for a pretty complete listing of HPI bodies). The biggest issue is the battery boxes; bodies either will just barely fit over them or in some cases (the Bug above has a slight rub on the front part of the body) have a bit of rubbing. Either have to jack up the body (personally I hate that look) or what I've done is used electricians black tape on the inside to give some cushioning; thinking of maybe switching to Gorilla or something because sometimes the electricians tape wants to come upstuck.

Both the Param and ProLine are 0.06 lexan, most of the HPI bodies are 0.04 :( But I do have a Savage X GTO body I'm working up for the Flux too.

And of course there is the HPI GT2 shell!

Here's a list of all the ProLine bodies that should fit; look for those that work on a T-Maxx 3.3 (which has nearly identical wheelbase as the Savage X/Flux).

I should note that I am running on both the bodies I posted pics up the tall rear Savage body post. But with the Param body, you basically need to extend it to its tallest limits in order for the body to fit and not slant backwards. To me this is really weak, so I just use it as a 'shelf queen' shell.

I like the gravedigger style, but like you said, the post has to come so far out, and if you run on asphalt/concrete flipping it on the lid and sliding will grind your posts down in a few seconds. So keep it on dirt if you go that way.
