Castle E-Baja boating

So we went ahead and built one for our shop. The ultimate fun. Now the problem is we have more of a boat then a buggy. I can't get the front tires to stay down. I'm considering a wheelie bar in the back darksoul racing steel bumper in the front and heavier tires. Possibly weights of some kind up by the nose. suggestions??

I don't really see how that has anything to do with the esc or motor- you add lots of power to a 2wd vehicle > front wheels lift off the ground & becomes hard to control = fun.

Set the slipper clutch looser maybe, tone down the torque control & punch via the esc settings definitely, be gentler on the throttle for sure..

no slipper on a stock baja, when this product is available you can add one

Looks like a must have piece for an electric. Tower shows it available late July, obviously it's a new part. Do you think Hpi is planning e-rtr's of the Baja models using Castle's equipment?

So you built a 5b? (buggy) The only wheelie bar available is made for drag racing and would break easily if bashed.

The cheapest solution is to use a 5t (truck) or 5sc (short course truck) rear bumper as a wheelie bar. The truck rear bumpers stick out much further than the buggy rear end, and are relatively cheap.

No punch control.... Torque control works much better.

HPI has a slipper coming out. The main thing is to keep off the throttle so hard. I'm going to put some hostile racing rears on the front end. Maybe the metal bumper from darksoul racing. At anything near full speed the front lifts up enough to keep the front wheels off the ground and of course there goes your steering.

I just run the buggy with Hpi Tarmac busters and punch control at 100%. No wheelies, 12 foot long burnout marks though. Tarmac busters are not very grippy, alot of fun too.
