team magic e6 trooper - 07.30.2011, 06:36 PM

hello.
i recently discover this new truck from team magic:

http://www.teammagic.com.tw/wb_main....05001&pageno=1

i like it soo much that i bought one and i can tell you guy´s what great machine!

this monster is a great and powerful truck!
shocks and suspension are great, and have a great build cvd´s, diff´s and chassis!
i am running it on a single 3s lipo with my novak 5.5hv with 19 pinion and it screams, i just can imagine how it would run on 4s!!
note that motor is centered on the fornt of the truck giving it a great steering and handling!!

greetings and hope you guy´s enjoy this more rare ride!!

you are what you race!!

Interesting. Kind of looks like the love child of a stampede 4x4 and an e-revo.

Curious to learn more about it. Never even heard of team magic myself.

It appears to be based in Australia.

This Truck looks really good. It's a shame there isn't any for sale in the US.

It comes with many features that are considered upgrades on the Traxxas Line.

They're manufactured in Taiwan & HEI is the main distributor

Like PBO said, they are Taiwan based company. They do have some decent cars but nothing spectacular. Also they do indeed sell them in US. http://www.amainhobbies.com/advanced...rooper&x=4&y=8

Biggest problem with Team Magic in Australia is parts support. My friend tried racing a TM car one year (GP on road) and had to miss races because he couldn't get parts. Once he even bought another whole car just for the front CVDs and one suspension arm. Was a real pain for him but me being a basher I guess I could wait till parts arrive. That is if they are stocked well anywhere.

Truck looks OK but I will wait till there is a bit more info about them from owners. There is also suppose to be a kit version coming out soon (according to TM site) which I would much rather prefer. I wonder if the brushed version has exactly the same drive train as the brushless one? Would much rather buy that and fit my own electrics.

I am not sure if I would put the E6 up against the MT4 G3. I think that MT4 still has the upper hand. I love having a CD in a truck and it is built pretty tough. Still no harm in owning a E6 too.

The brushed version are not the same : shock tower 4mm vs 5mm for E6, hardened diff for brushed vs CNC hardened diff, motor mount 4mm brushed vs 5mm E6.

Amainhobbie have the truck for sale but no spare part and no store in USA and Canada have part, after that, i have the idea to call the distributor of team magic in Europe and less than 24 hour i receive a message with link for spare part rcshopping and he will talk to amainhobbie for sale line (spare part) !

Hi Samuel ,

Thanks for your mail .

We will check with A Main Hobbies if they will put the parts on their sales line.
And if you need the parts urgent, you could try order them from RC Shopping first.

Why? The MTA-4 is way better IMO.

I don't like the steering on the MT4 G3, take too much place for turning and it too difficult for made a 360 (donut).

OT to the thread, but an upgraded servo will cure that problem, most likely. The MT4 is sold with an underpowered servo. Probably the only weak spot.

I like the look of the OP's truck. It looks like a Revo and a Flux hooked up one night.

If Big Block thinks it is a winner, I would be willing to give it a spin. I worry about parts support here in the US, though.

Hey guys, I found out the TM truck is also being sold as the Robotronic Hurricane.

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
