I can't get the motor test to work, to open up the torque control with my mamba max esc. Is there a link to where i can read a how to? I tryed the search and found nothing here. Thank you

IIRC these are the steps for the MMM. I needed to go back to a FW below 1.32

1. Check the tick box in the Castle Link software
2. Press ok on the pop up window
3. Connect the cable to the receiver
4. Turn on the ESC and let it arm. Red LED flashing.
5. Full throttle until the motor stops (a few seconds, no more than 5)
6. Shut everything off and plug in the Castle Link again.

Do you do this with the battery plugged in or not? I have tryed everything to plugging in with link hooked up to switching off and switching on. Also, i can do this without the castle link? Or need to go through the reciever wire. remember the maxx has that mini USB on the side. Anyone from Castle wish to chime in?

Can't answer your question about connecting the USB directly to the ESC since I don't own such an ESC. I assume it should work though since you can change every other option using that port, right?

I change my settings without having the battery connected. I hook them up when I'm ready to perform the motor test.

It's weird for me CarzyJR.
Check the motor test box and setup my first torque control test settings,
Update,
Unplug Castlelink,
Plug in castlelink to esc again (it should now bring up a window telling you the Motor test will now be armed on next esc power up or some crap like that),
Unplug,
Power up the esc, wait until initial start up is over then squeeze full trigger for 3-5 seconds, it should quit running on it's own.
Cycle the esc power again and it should be ready.

Yes, your using operating voltage through the main plug during the motor testing.

That worked perfectly, someone needs to make a sticky on this. thank you, the torque control works perfectly

Got a chance to play with it last night, really better than punch for control. I did use the mini USB on the max, with no problems. The torque control really is a significant piece of the esc making it a essential piece to corral the power on these powerful setups. For Stadium trucks (T4,xxxt and such) I found 3 works perfect for blacktop, no lift but wicked acceleration with a CM-36 4600 motor. figure maybe 2.5 or 2 for dirt, can't wait to find out
