Any issues with exposed gears with the motor mount? - 03.15.2005, 05:38 PM

So since the use of the motor mount gets rid of the stock dust cover, is there anything to be concerned about with the spurs and pinions being exposed?

I ask mainly because I've found all manner of yard debris floating around my chassis, from acorns to tiny sticks to leaves to the neighbor's cat. Okay, maybe not the neighbors cat, but you get the idea. At any rate, I'd hate to see any one of those random yard items get stuck in there and tear things up.

This isn't too big of an issue. No different than a nitro vehicle (clutch bell and spur is exposed on almost all of them). Keep the battery wires away from the gear mesh, though (and the cat!).
