Cool 9920 / 10xl system - 05.04.2006, 10:11 AM

You guys wanted to know how it runs and what not. After redoing my batts to side by sides, putting in my ubec...IT RUNS LIKE A TOP! No glitches, nothing! It's real smooth and stays cool. I run 51/16 mod1's and will get the 18 and 20 to try those as soon as Mike gets them in. But other than that, runs great!
Currently waiting on a chasis and new ib's to build two 8 packs and will let you know. But right now it's pretty fast soo...hmmmm, the 16 cells should really cruise!
Thanks for everything guys!:027:

So does this mean you are happy with the setup?
How many cells have you tried on it to?

Right now i have only run the 14. But i'm still waiting for the twenty loose cells and will go probably 16 to start due to weight issues...will let you know how that works. But everything so far is awsome and love it guys..thanks soo much for answering all my annoying questions! LOL :)

When you step up to 16 you will see more power.
Have seen what kind of run time you are getting on it?
20 cells is some weight but it is awesome.

I got a solid 23 min run...and that was "on the throttle" pretty heavy! Stopped a few times to check temps, but that was about it.

Yea, thats about what I get but it gets better every time. My new IB's have only been cycled 3 times so it should be about 30 minutes when I cycle them some more and add the extra 2 cells. Only difference is gearing. Im running 20/51.

By adding the cells to the system you may find on the throttle a little less or on the roof a little more. :D So the run time should go up.

I'm still trying to get my head around this. Would a 10XL on 16 cells, be like a 7XL on 12?

No it wouldnt, Nick. A 10XL on 16 cells will be ALOT more powerfull, that is the setup i am gonna run, just gotta get the 10xl ordered up, and have to wait for some 20T pinions.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

The other day I got it out again. got a good 27 min run time. I'm runnin a 16 pinion. Mike said the pinions will be in soon. I want an 18. 20 might be a little hot runnin i think. My truck does start to cog a little when distance is involved. haven't figured that one out yet...added receiver wire but that didn't help. I tried to move my ubec in a different location and will see if that makes a diff.
