FighterCat HV CAR ESC 16s 200a - 10.14.2011, 08:27 AM

Some of the e-Baja guys on the Baja forum are ordering these to try out while their Mamba XL's are still in for recall:

Anyone used any of the fightercat esc's or heard anything about them?

I registered to see the price and they're selling for $228 - I expected it to be much higher.

I've been following them in the Rum Runner Racing forum and was the first to ask about a car version. Here is the link: http://www.rumrunnerracing.com/fefor...ad.php?t=31671 and I asked in post #16. They mentioned that the ESCs aren't made by Suppo, but all the programming sure looks like it is specially the car one since I was trying to get Suppo to make my HV car ESC a while back. If they can make the shorter version, that would be a plus.

I'll probably hold off and see how these hold up in some Bajas - it looks like a number of guys are going to try them out, so we should see how they work:

I am eye-balling an XBE....I like that it is relatively light for a 4x4. The losi 5ive is so heavy, plus I would have to sell off all the gas parts...and would still end up spending a ton of money to convert it.

Has the XBE been durable for you? That is my one reservation...I had an Redcat Rampage and was constantly breaking dogbones, drive cups and plus it was heavy as well.

I so much wish the XBE had a center diff. or someone would make one.

Sorry Kirky, missed your post somehow. I love my XB-E, aside from the stock tire foams, and stock wheel bearings its been flawless. I upgraded the knuckles and rear uprigths to 7075rc unit with larger sealed bearing so no worries there. I love it man, it kicks the crap out of any gasser I have ever owned.
