Possible to get a special edition mmpro?

Would it be possible or feasible to do a special edition Mamba Max Pro. Both for the standard and one cell editions that would have solder posts for all three phases and the battery. The solder posts are awesome on the 1 cell edition but it'd be nice to have them for the battery too so that it'd be easier to wire in a voltage booster. Currently I have the booster soldered in at the battery end but constantly plugging in and unplugging the battery weakens the small wires and they occasionally break. On the standard mmp it'd be nice to have the posts there to make wiring in a bec easier since the built in bec won't handle my servos, and it'd be nice to have them for the motor wires as well so I could eliminate the bullets and have one less connection to give me problems while racing.

Overall I love my Castle ESCs and they are the only esc I use. It'd just be nice to have the solder posts, that's my only complaint

Buy a HPI Q-Base ESC

Personally I hate it, I wish I had the standard MMP wires not solder posts, if for whatever reason a solder joint fails and comes adrift, you have a far greater risk of dead shorting your battery (Or maybe I should learn to solder better)

HPI esc doesn't have solder posts for everything. It's also not the same as a Castle esc because you are limited to firmware that HPI approves. As far as soldering goes, if you have solder joints coming apart while running and nothing else is wrong then yes you need to learn to solder better. Only time I've had a problem like that was when the something else went wrong and burnt down the system, only happened once so far in 5 years

I personally have mixed emotions on solder posts. I use a Tekin motor with a mmp on my Ten T. I ended up putting bullet connectors between motor and esc due to needing longer wires as the set up came out of my slash. Soldering the wires directly on to the motor is conventient, but I hate having to pull my gun out to work on things hence why the bullet conectors. I have had a full Tekin set up as well and from a racers point of view I understand having posts, from a bashers point of view, connectors are much easier....just my 2cents

I don't really bash anymore other than a quick run through the parking lot to try a new setup. So this is all from a racers point of view.

I agree that from a racers point of view that posts would definitely be better

From both points of view somewhat soldier posts are better hands down. If you don't like them learn to soldier and you'll start to love them. Soldiering posts just make neat wiring so much easier to do. If you don't like hard wiring you motors for whatever reason, just soldier on a short wire with a bullet on the end. Was that so hard...

Better by your opinion.

I can solder very well and have soldered thousands of joints. I hate solder posts. Good bullets make things so much easier in my opinion.

I would rather solder the bullets once then plug/unplug when I need to do maintenance or clean my vehicles well than to solder/desolder every time.

Would it be possibly to buy posts and add your own to the ESC? Will probably void your warranty though, but you'd have what you want. (not even sure if you can, just thinking aloud).

My warranty is long gone on my all my ESCs but I'm not willing to try soldering onto the pcb

Castle has the soldeer posts, they have them on motor connections on the one cell and on the battery connections on the HPI branded esc, I just want to see them combined

Race version! Still make the standard design if they want just have a racer's version with solder posts all the way across. IMO The 1 cell should have had this from the begining!

I rather like solder posts myself. Heating up the iron is not a big deal to me on the rare times where I need to pull everything apart to do maintenance or swap things around. Bullets tend to loosen over time in my experience.

To make both parties happy, why not use solder posts, and for those who like bullets, simply solder a wire to the solder posts and add the bullets on the other end? Or, just solder the bullets right to the post?

Castle used to charge $15 to replace esc wires iirc.

Have you thought about just sending them in with $15 and asking for posts?
