c&p'ed from my facebook status:
I'm not proud to be an American. All I've ever done was be born here. America is about celebrities and capitalism,(money/power/greed) ideas I don't really care for.
I am very fortunate to be an American, my crippled arse would be rotting in a corner in most countries.
As you go about your holiday, drinking and eating to excess and blowing up things to see pretty colors, think about how you spent more for today than some families in some parts of the world see in a year.
America! F yeah!

Yes, but in other parts of the world someone who cares would have shot you by now Harold.
I am not American by birth, but have lived here most of my life. I feel like an American, one of the original ones who came here to have a better life (exactly why my father moved here).
I do feel this country could use some work, and that it is not going in the right direction, but I have not found anywhere else better.
I salute all of the people who have given ofthemselves to keep America what it is. Lets remember that ids is us, the people of Aerican, that now need to make some changes to Make this country the best place to live and grow.
I am not very political, but I do urge all of the members here to vote for Romney. Obummer has made enough mistakes, lets not let him make anymore. All the "hope and change" got us was alot more debt.

Happy 4th of july -
07.05.2012, 05:42 PM
Happy 4th of July everyone. Regardless of what some may think or say about how they feel about America I am proud to be an American. And in fact I served my country in the US Navy for 20+ years, and now work on the front lines with the Dept of State. Yes there are things going on within our own country that may not be going in the right direction and need some new blood to get things redirected. Personally I am not real happy with our present administration, but the alternate choices are not all that great either. Where are the good people we need to run this place? Everyone seems to just get behind whoever is popular, because they want to be part of the majority instead of voting for someone who might actually have a chance of driving us towards success. It seems whoever gets voted in now a days simply cannot find the right way to help this country without creating even more problems that effect all of us. I mean come on we are nearly trillions of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in debt, so lets create even more debt and give everybody legal or not medical care they cannot aford to pay for on their own. It seems to me that if they would just get the cost of medical care under control then the problem would take care of itself. Too many Doctors and Hospitals trying to get rich on our ill health instead of simply helping us get better while making a reasonable living. We are all either part of the solution or part of the problem.

I`m guess you never been to Canada? The truth is that 98.7% time you can get away with only knowing English in Canada and the the rest of the time you have to be bilingual. From the west coast of Canada to Manitoba you pretty much don`t need to speak any French-Canadian.
P.S. Canada Day was July 1 and is on continent of North America. So it`s kinda like America day week. ;)

Hey Linc, we don't say aboooout, eh. It's rOOf, not ruf, it's ZED not ZEE, and we know everything about the America, but you guys know nothing about us!
I more than agree that the US is not going in the right direction, but then again, it never has. The whole world is going to hell in a hand basket, courtesy the British empire.
