Hardcore Racing Purple Emaxx Build -
08.05.2012, 12:18 AM
As many of you probably know, I really like the HCR parts, so it is finally time for me to build my first HCR emaxx. This one will be the twin to my HCR tmaxx with the same type of purple/silver color scheme. Please feel free to post comments and suggestions.
I must admit Im a little sad to see parts come off the wall and out of the package, but I did buy them to open and use.
This is probably the fullest my wall we be from this point on. Done collecting and time to build.

Time to depreciate some value I guess and open the packages

Between your builds you have had more quality parts on your wall than my local hobby shop has had in 20+ yrs.

HAHA, Thanks for the comment. I must say without these forums and Ebay I couldn't do these types of builds.

Yea, I have spent way to much time searching the net and calling hobby shops around the US to find the parts, but I could have been spending my time doing worse things I suppose.
A little progress on the front suspension.

I like the purple chassis personally. You can tone it down so to speak with silver rx box, motor mount, etc.. if you think it's to much

Silver chassis. I think the dark purple chassis would look best with all silver parts, arms, etc.
Either way nice build.

It would've been nice if the purple tint matched up. I would still run the purple though, like magman said it can be toned down. Besides you will have a few other things breaking up the colour anyway i.e. motor, esc, battery
Put a fiegao in to make more purple

Thanks for the input guys. I think Im leaning towards the silver chassis myself. A purple trans would look killer on it with a silver motor mount and a hacker purple motor. The purple chassis will have to be used for another build I suppose. I have an idea for it, but I must finish this one first. LOL
Pinkpanda, one of the hardest things with the hcr parts is getting the shades to match. I have tried my best but it still isn't all perfect. My purple tmaxx is almost perfect, but still not 100%. I actually just bought another set of purple arms this week to see if they are a little darker than these to match the shock towers a little better. This would all be a lot easier to just buy the parts and send them to be anodized all at once, but oh well.

Keep the opinions on the chassis choice coming.
Little update on the front suspension. Body post and mounts added along with Progressive Suspension shocks

If it were me, I'd put a set of purple HCR knuckles on that EMaxx!
