another flux 2350 XL - 09.01.2012, 12:03 AM

hey guys here is my savage flux XL all i can say is pretty much instant wheelies, i'm loving it! the specs are
leopard 4074 2200kv motor
2x 2s 4000mah
150 amp ezrun.
Goliath wheels
XL conversion kit
Wheel extenders
Sway bars

I'm new to the monster truck part of rc's had pretty much everything except a monster truck. so any tips on upgrades would be awesome. i know the first upgrade is to get rid of that ugly rear steer with the integy rear hubs? any good for the money? i Wanted to run the 2200kv 4082 size leopard for extra grunt but i don't think i will fit it in the chassis? any opinions on upgrades etc would be greatly appreciated. here are a couple pics.
thanks

this hasn't been updated for a while. I have gotten to a point where i like the setup of my savage. it has nice top end even with the lower kv motor that i put in it. i also went for a larger motor for increases low end torque, and i love it. still pops wheelies and rips up any terrain.
here are a list of changes:
new motor (bigger leopard 4282 2000kv)
new upgraded center transmission gear (stripped the stock one)
new shoes ;)
Integy rear hubs
made a esc plate to make it sit lower for lower COG.
rear suspension tower supports.
here are a couple of pics.

if anyone has any other helpful info, on whats some other good mods are etc, i would really appreciate it if you let me know.
thanks

Looks great! I love badlands!
I really like the lower mounting of the ESC. I have the Flux HP standard size, and it'd be hard to mount the MMM any lower. The body flexes down and busts up motor wires sometimes. I have bullet plugs that'll let me solder the wires on at a 90* angle, so I think that'll help.
You're rear shock tower brace is nice. Do you feel a difference with it? I don't think I've ever had that problem, but I don't know what the symptoms are really.

Thanks man, yeah badlands alway make rc's look better. Thanks. The esc mount I am very happy with. With the rear shock tower braces they make a lot of difference. Only strength wise, not performance or anything. You pretty much can't move the shock tower any more. Usually it had a bit of flex this eliminates it. I wanna try and make something for the front shock tower now, ill have to have a look to see if I can mount them anywhere.
Thanks
