Brushless Hyper 7 Black - 11.11.2012, 05:12 PM

Hi everyone, i'm new here and thought would show you my newly converted Hyper 7 Black edition.

I went with the Hobbywing Xerun 150A 2000kv combo, Ansmann conversion kit, Savox SC-0252 MG steering servo and Zippy compact 6s 3300mah 35c lipo which fits perfectly.

Basically it flies!! i tried the standard 12 tooth pinion and it was quick, i have since fitted a 14 tooth pinion and it wheelies from rest and we (the wife and i!!) tested it's top speed to be roughly 60mph. Thing is i would like more speed and i'm thinking of fitting a 16 tooth pinion, the temps were low even after 10 mins bashing.

What should i look out temps wise as i don't want to damage the ESC?

Cheers

Lee

ESC should stay under 150*F
Motor should stay under 160-170*F
Batteries should stay under 130*F

I would suggest getting a nice digital temp gun to check temps if you want to start doing more speed runs. Otherwise have fun!!
