Is this normal? - 06.13.2006, 06:07 AM

I have a 2cell Apogee LiPo and it seems like one of the cells has air in it (if that makes sense). Kinda squishy like a pillow. Is this normal or is the cell bad?
Thanks.

That is called a "puffed" cell. It is "squishy" because of gas in the package of the cell. If the puffy-ness doesn't go down, the pack is gone. Even if it does go down, you need to be careful with that pack, it could do strange (and potentially hazardous) things.

Ok, in to the trash it goes.
I also have a 3cell that was given to me. It looks like some "stuff" (don't know what to call it really) leaked out and has kind of a sweet smell to it. I'm guessin this one is toast as well?
Thanks.

Yeah... Probably only one of the cells is leaking, so you may be able to keep it as a 2s pack and remove the bad cell.
