Upgrading the stock bulks..

With a few pieces of aluminum, i beefed up my stock bulks a bit.

Front;



Rear;



It works like a charm. So far, i broke a front arm, and the rest is going strong.

does anybody make t-maxx diffs that will hold oil because i know first hand that the stock ones do not.

Nope.. Too bad, no one does..

That's the downside of this lightweight truck. You got to keep traction out of the corners.

The new 3.3 diffs may. I don't know for sure or not. Can any one say for sure.

Yeah, i know for sure they can't. They are the exact same as the stock diffs/ringgear.

The only thing it needs is a small notch for the o-rings.... Come to think of it.. Where is my lathe.......

I have been told that with a little finessing you can get Revo gears in the Maxx diff cases. Not sure if its true or not.

I dunno, they look a lot like eachother. I have got a revo cup here, but no ringgear. Can't test it out.

It is possible but it requires a bearing spacer. The maxx large side bearing is a 10x15 vs the revo's 8x16. One of two things has to happen. Either machine out your maxx housings to accept the 16mm bearing or have a 8x10x4 adaptor bushing made to fit the 10x15 bearing on the 8mm side of the diff cup.

Yeah, 15X8 bearings are hard to find. I guess a 8/10mm adaptor is the easiest to make then. But then you would need a lathe, and with that lathe, you could also make the small notches for the o-rings in the cup/ringgear. (thinking while i am typing...) which should work just as well.
