My Rusty Truggy - 08.22.2006, 03:00 PM

I'm in the finishing stages of my Rusty Truggy. I mosty only need my BL system and some good batteries but there are a few things up front that need upgrading. But for the most part its done. Here are a few pictures.

Nice work with the Rusty Truggy.
The Rustler is one of the toughest 1/10 RC trucks out there so it should make a great truggy platform.
Are you thinking 380 or 540 sized motor? I guess it depends on how heavy you think it will be when you are done.

Mike: I'm probaly going to go with the Mamba system or atleast the Mamba ESC.
They are xxx-4 mounts.

aqwut: I'm using a alum idlear gear but the diff is stock. The spur is a corally and the pinion is Losi.

I think you have done a great job. Looks good. I love the rear gaurd. Remember one thing, it will be hard to keep the front wheels down, so when you mount your battery, try to get it forward a tad...may help.

Today I was going to the store to pick up some random stuff and out front where they usually have the cheapo acrilic they had a huge stash of Lexan sheets for dirt cheap. This is the same kind you get at Home Depot execpt instead of paying $100 you get it for $20. So I couldn't pass it up and bought a sheet and got my hardware I was there to get. I went home and took apart my rustler and rebuilt a new chassis out of this lexan. This stuff is awesome. I put a little piece in the vice and tryed to kill it with a hammer but didn't suceed. This stuff is awesome. Well onto the pictures.

Chassis ready to go.

The car ready to go.

Then I realized I didn't put anything to hold the battery down so I went back to work.

what tires are those? I have been looking for some decent Stampede size tires for my rusty. Those look pretty decent.
