Feigao brushless pede - 08.23.2006, 10:10 PM

Quick gearing question. I relocated my feigao 6s and mgm over to the new pede i bought. my question would be what could i safely gear that sucker to get the best performance?
Thanks

This motor can only be geared according to the quality of your packs. If you have better packs, use a bigger pinion. Otherwise you will get poor performance with high gearing if your packs aren't up to par. Don't worry about heat. Basically it will heat up a certain amount no matter what gearing is used and no more than that until you gear really really high. Peak efficiency happens at above 100 amps.

You could get a mamba maxx 5700 motor. Try it out on the mgm.

Peace!

No, with a Novak you don't use a UBEC. I would go for a Mamba controller for sure.

humm, i will give it some consideration. I am not looking for blistering speed ( i have several other trucks for that). I am looking to keep it around 40mph which is where i am now, but may some more torque to keep the big meats moving.

I would go with the neu and mamba combo in the pede. It would be nice to have someone try the mamba set up in one though! LOL

The neu motors are fatter than a 540. I not sure if you can fit them every where you would a 540.

the pede is sporting a custom tranny case and motor plate, fitting a new motor is not a problem.
