Pinion Help? - 10.02.2006, 10:39 AM

Hey guys, I need some help. I'm looking for a Mod 1 pinion with an 1/8" shaft size and 10 teeth. Right now the smallest I've found is from RC-Monster and it's a 12 tooth. Do any of you know what I can do?

Thanks!!

I bought one a long time ago from Mike I thought... if he can't get you hooked up then check starluck. (can I say that? lol)

Tower has one too.

Thanks glassdoctor! Now, I hope this isn't a stupid question, but who is Mike or starluck? And how would I contact them? I've checked Tower and couldn't find that pinion either.

I just checked those resources and they seem to all be 5mm shaft sizes. I'm trying to find a 10t Mod1 in a 3.2mm or 1/8" shaft size. That's the tough part. I just can't seem to find one anywhere. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Sounds like you/we need an adapter sleeve to run any 5mm gear on a 3.2mm shaft.

Mike has got 10t mod 1 pinions, they have got a 6mm hole, so you would need a 3.2 to 6mm adaptor.

Thanks Serum. I just sent an e-mail to Mike, so we'll see what he says. So, do they sell the adaptors on the site here? Where would I find them?

You need to ask that to Mike too, it's a custom part.
