Want new Motor - 10.09.2006, 10:06 AM

I currently have a lehner 4200 basic xl and i wanna know if there is anything i can get with more RPMs so that i might be able to pull more speed. heres the catch it cant be larger than a 540 motor...

Please help or am i good at where i am now?

I would go for a Neu motor as a replacement...But you still have yet to say what it's going in...

you should be boogyin' pretty good with a 4200xl.... but 60K rpm is a lot of rpms already with 4s... why would you want more?... why not a motor with less rpms, more torque?...

i am running it in a touring car 4 wheel drive schumacher, and its already quick but i want more more more

The XL motors are probably too big for a touring car... it's gonna eat up your drive train... but what about a 1950-4 Turn on 4S .... or cheaper, a 6XL on 4S, and use higher gearing.... what kind of speed do you think you're gettin' now from that 4200 XL, that's a pretty powerful motor for a touring car already...

You'll need a pinion as big as the spur ! :)
