Brushless Revo vid, vol 1: Wheelies -
10.11.2006, 12:53 AM
Finally got around to doing a short little vid of my BL Revo. Mostly wheelies and high speed passesin a parking lot, but a grabbed a few good jumps at the end until I popped the shock end off on a bad landing. I also posted this in my Revo thread for archiving.
My camerawife bailed on me, so its just on a tripod. Would have liked to zoom and pan, but that will have to wait for Vol 2!
Enjoy!

Nice! Like you said though; zoom would have been nice. ;)
Hows the MM holding up with the 8XL?

Nice vid, could have done with someone behind the camera, but it shows the power the cars capable of. And that the Mamba in there is doing its job very well :)

Tell me about it... The wife thinks having dinner is more important than RC videos... Sheesh, where are her priorities?! There is nothing more important than brushless.... I've gone many nights w/o dinner or sleep for the Revo, and she can't even miss one... It looks we're going to have to have a talk tonite....:005:

Who needs dinner, or even sleep, when you have power? :) Seriously mate you gotta draw the line somewhere, I'm glad I made the decision to keep all RC bits out the bedroom, I used to sit here tinkering with things instead of doing other stuff ;)

Well, if there was a choice between R/C and "other stuff", then I'd choose "other stuff" of course!
My R/C bits are slowly taking over the basement though.

As for the Mamba, its doing its job very well. Only ran the one pack that nite, but temps were <120F/~140F (esc and motor.) The motor eventually get warmer after more packs and harder running (eg off road) but the esc really just stays cool for me. I'm very happy with the setup. I may try to throw th 16t pinion on one time and see what it does, but for everyday the 15t is doing well.

Yeah, I think I have my priorities wrong too. There are times I ask myself where the line between "hobby" and "obsession" is. :027:
