Flightpower came today (pics of T4) - 11.10.2006, 09:24 AM

I got my 3s1p Flightpower today, after I wasn't impressed with TrueRCs, I knew Lipo could do better, so I thought, sod it, I'll go all out and buy the bees knees.:005:

So happy I did, ran it today, you really notice a difference. So much smoother, consistant, loads more power, I have a very long road outside my house but I seriously need 4 or 5 Tennis courts to take this in now.

Really impressed, the quality you can feel, thanks Serum, I think you made me want these more than anything else, hehe.

Cool, those look really nice. Tho I'm surprized you didn't like the TrueRCs, I have a 5S 8000 pack and find it has an unbeleivable amount of power. Huge gains over the NIMH. Was the disch rate not high enough for your app?

guys..

It's about the power the batteries can deliver.

the 3s 3700's can do 1600 watts+ in bursts.. and 1000 watts continues above a 9.6V..

truerc is not even close. You need to use the packs parralel to get the power these babies can..

There are many different grades of lipoly cells. as with nimh's.

If I'm not mistaking, they're 3700mah.
The FlightPower batts are way stronger than most lipos in the market.
They can pull loads of amps at an instant.
Jon Badley told me that a 3s 3700mah is much more powerful than a 12 cell nimh pack.

I had the 4000mAh 3s1p TrueRcs, they were weak and one of the packs had a dead cell. They just didn't provide enough for me.

I hope to get a video this weekend of my T4. I will be ordering another pack for my E-Maxx to. They sound like alot of money but when you get one and realise that what you gain from it, they feel well worth the money.

It's not surprising (to me) that you found the True RC packs to be weak. 40amps continuous is not enough... and the Flightpower pack you have now can dish out about twice the power as the True RC pack you had. As Serum said, you should have used 2 packs in parallel.

Great to hear your flightpowers are working well for you. Serum has also convinced me to switch to these packs. If Mike puts them in his store they would sell like hot cakes.

Well a 3s with a dead cell sucks. A 2s pack with no dead cell dragging it down would do better. :D

Peace!

Yeh, he wanted me to send it back to him for a replacement but to post it would cost me about £20 to the USA... I paid that much for it in the first place. I'm glad FP are in the UK, that's for sure!

The 3300s definately fit in there,i use them in a xxxt, they pack enough punch if the 3700s turn out to be too wide,i use 3s 3300s in mine, and 4s ocassionally but that's just stupid, blows right pasrt 60mph without too much trouble though if you can keep it on the ground and right side up etc:005:

It is *around* 48mm. The cells them self are that but the wires on the outside protrude a bit. I just managed to fit it in the T4. Only just.
