Drive Train EMaxx -
12.20.2006, 01:11 PM
I am trying to sort out the drive train for a EMaxxed based truck that will work for specific straight lined sand drags , & dune climbing. I have an 2-speed Emaxx tranny 5s apachee set up. I ordered holiday special 12020 from mike.
Would you use Traxxas spools in both diffs. I want speed./ as well as torque.
I have a strobe set up for slipper but would a revo spur give me more gearing options? Do revo spur fit Emaxx tranny. I do not have Revo "yet" and am unfamalire w/ parts.
If not what diff would you use in front. I already have Hardcore racing diffs cases.

I'll have a REVO Spec 3.3 Slipper kit for Emaxx/Gmaxx tranny's out soon. Spur gear choices will include 36, 38, 40 (stock traxxas) and 48, 50, 52T HD nylon & machined delrin as well.
The RC-M slipperential may offer benefits to you as well. Consult with Mike on this.

the spools are going to be a headache. The diff are still weak ( the ring and pinion are easily broken), the stock traxxas gears are strongest, the robinsons are garbage.
