Pede Story - 12.20.2006, 10:41 PM

This is my XL5 Stampede that is on its way to FLM Pede..

This is my Pede after being stripped of it's parts :D

I was going to build up this rustler,BUt decided to build back the Stock Pede.YES,So after tearing down the Pede for the SuperPede :D I ended up putting it back together with the parts from this Rusty and others I had lying around.Didn't have to spend a cent to get the Pede back together.TOO COOL!

All the FLM parts that came from right here at RCMonster .I will order the tranny case and castors after the new year.I don't like having stuff shipped during the holidays..

This is what it loooks like so far.I will pick up the other set of bowties this weekend, along with a couple of other parts i need to finish it.I ordered titanium turnbuckles that I hope to see sometime next week.I also plan to pick up my Mamba Max 5700 next weekend with any luck.I did already put the Novak back on my stock Pede.It is truly looking SWEEET!

I also just bought and painted a new body for the FLM Pede and a new battery.I already had 5 3300s and a Elite 7cell 4600 i think it is.I also ordered another IB4200 and the hobby shop has that waiting for me to pick up.

That is my short story about where my Stampede is these days and whats to come.I will see about posting new pics after the weekend and new parts.Hope you found this interesting :P

Thanks for everything Mike!!

Looks like a nice project. But I would redo those packs to side by sides.

I got a question.
How do you make a chassis change color?
You have a grey chassis pictured. Then it is stripped to a black one.

You are right CHC, they are different chassis. The black one looks like the older model.

I thought the grey was supposed to be tougher. More duraible.
I thought you was trying to pull a fast one on us. :D
The aluminum looks good. I had one but sold it. Never drove it.

More parts for the SuperPede - 12.24.2006, 04:02 PM

Well friday when I got home, there was a FLM bulkhead brace and some complimentary stickers from Mike. The brace was not with the super I chassis I ordered.Mike sent it out as soon as I LHK.Great service over here ........Also recieved my swami bar the same day as the brace. The wheels were on back order and I wanted it asap,So I asked 4 a small discount 4 everything but the wheels and I got it,VERY COOL considering I was going to use diff wheels anyway. So that worked out perfect......Also picked up the MM5700 and some deans plugs for it.The titanium turnbukles i ordered were not in,So I bought some Losi 93mm turnbuckles, cut them down a bit and added some revo ends to them and VIOLA,perfect length and tougher turnbuckles.I will still the the Titanium though.......I want it running for xmas day and I hope I get it there.

So SHINY and clean..My other is one is pretty bashed

GOTTA LOVE IT!!

Very cool stickers,Thanks Mike!!!!

Truck pics coming soon ;)
