it feels plastic or something like that should i cut it off, becasue of the way it is wraped is restricts the legnth of the wire by about 2 and 1/2 inches.

Id leave it, just to play it safe. If you really need that extra wire you could try to un-tangle it out somehow.

It's a ferrite bead and is meant to block induced interference.

I've had mine off ever since I got the Quark with no negative effects. However, you must make sure your receiver wire is away from any high current source or you may get glitching as Squee said.

To remove it, you'll have to take off the throttle connector. Just use a pin or something to slide each wire out of the connector. After you remove the ferrite bead, put the connector back on; just be sure it's on right. :)

what do you mean by reciever wire the antena wire or the quark rx wire. and if so it has to be next to something in order to work or do you mean it just can not be right next to the motor, batt, or ubec. what should i do to rout the wire and what items(batts, speed control, motor, ect..) should i stay away from thanks.

You could just get an extension on it and remove the red wire out it so you be good.

Peace!
