i just got this charger 2 weeks ago i like it but when i charge nimh batts it stops after 60 min. dose anyone know how to change this thanx for your help

I dont know but maybe it is done charging. you probably already thought of this though just a thought.

i have but why would a 3300 go to 1162 in a hour on 5.5 amps and always end in an hour

There must be a setting in the charger to end the charge after an hour if it hasn't peaked. I don't know how the 989 menu system works, but I would look for that. If not, then you could try charging at a little higher than 1C so it will peak before the timer runs out. Of course, I assume you are talking about NiMHs here...

Maybe you dont run your packs down all the way? Even though its only 1 hour, it shouldnt take that long to charge 3300's at 5.5 amps, i charged my old 3300's @ 3 amps and took around 64 mins..

Ill check it out in the settings once i get my 989 (its gonna be here tomorrow knowing mikes shipping :) )
