Mike is out of stock. Is there anywhere else that sells these?

If you can wait a couple weeks for something good and use a receiver pack until then, it might be worth the wait.

I've seen a "DBEC" or Digital Battery Eliminator Circuit but can't remember where I saw it. It was very small. Like half the size of the UBEC.

Here perhaps, Hank?

http://www.quarkbrushless.com/pro_acc.htm

All the good BEC systems are 'digital' the Ubec is using the very same principle. It's a switching voltage regulator. This one just has got a small footprint.

I nabbed one of these the other day:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=200071683316

Got a message from them just after midnight indicating it had been shipped, and included the tracking number. They ship via china post, air parcel. So far, so good. We'll see how well it works. For the price, it was worth a gamble.

I got one of these as well. As soon as I got it, I removed the heatshrink and looked up the regulator IC part number. It is rated for 3A load and is a very basic circuit. The BEC is actually using the circuit layout used in the "Applications" section of the data sheet, so I have confidence in the design.

Serum...as usual...U THE MAN! Thanks, it was driving me nuts. Funny it was a Quark item. Only flaw I see in it is that it's fullt exposed, otherwise it seems nice.

Sleebus.....I hope it works out for you. Some of those Chineese Specials are a great deal and some do not even make a good paperweight.

Nice find.

The "3A Ultra BEC Board -exactly same Bec as in ebay link $12" looks like the only real choice. The other 2 are Max Input V: 12V ( 3 cells Lipo or 10 Cell). The other one has Max Input V: 35V (8 cells Lipo or 24 Cell Ni-Mh cells)

I'm thinking I'll order 2 of these since they are so cheap.

Glad I spent $37 for the UBEC with Mike earlier this week!

:019:

I had no idea the cheapies were any good. :026:
