love their support - 01.24.2007, 09:41 AM

hey just wanted to say that castle creations has some AWSOME support!! i asked for an outer casing because i trashed mine and within a week i had one at my door steps! a couple days ago i talked to them about my heat sink coming off.

they told me to send it to them and they will put it back on for me! (if i tried myself it would void the warranty) so i figured i might as well just send it in. i broke the switch wiring off (poor soldering job on it with small wires... not a good combo for bashing)

i sent everything in yesterday (heat sink that there putting on and the on/off switch i asked to be put on) and i want to see how quick the turnaround is! i will let everyone know for future refernce if they are ever in my situation!

also! it only cost .87 cents to ship it to them lol!

Man, you really trashed your poor ESC! They must think your were using it as a rollbar or skidplate or something! :005:

I haven't had the need to use their support (yet), but it's nice to know that it's good...

Glasdto hear about the great support.

Mike shipped my Mamba Max ESC to me yesterday. Can't wait to get it and the NEU1515 installed in the truck.

Probably!

We'll see how the MM & the NEU get along.

I doubt the neu will comprehend with the MM unless castle gets a software update for the 4 polers.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

I'll let you know how it works for me. Hopefully CC will release a new version that 4pole friendly......but I'm not counting on it anytime soon.

It should be ok, but there may be slight cogging on startup. Wonder if it will work normally, cant wait to see what you say. Thanks.

I posted this vid in my 1/8 buggy conversion thread. I was trying to use a MM w/ a Neu and this is what I found. It worked, but it was far from ideal. It runs the 2 pole motors MUCH better. I actually wound up smoking the MM when it cogged severly on the neu. Of course I was running 5s so that didnt help.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

I'm trusting Mike on this one. If it cogs badly & blows up with it set correctly and running on 12-gp3300's then I'll have to chat with Mike and come up with a solution.
