WOT Out of control - 02.19.2007, 07:58 PM

Hey guys. I have a slight problem. Driving my girls emaxx with 5s lipo, 10xl and 12020 with li saver....driving is fine, until you get about 10 feet away and it takes off WOT! It didn't do it with the stock radio, but I put in the New radio rx and radio and it does it. Now, I'm not sure, but could it be a low charge on the rx pack maybe? It was fully charged when I ran the stock radio system....

Any help would be great!

I had the same thing happen with a 10L with a 9920.. And i was running spektrum too! I put a switch between the UBEC , or in your case your receiver pack and it fixed the problem.. It really raises your heart rate. huh! ;)

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

So you run the li saver? All you did was put a switch in it?
My rx pack was at 6.3v unloaded, and my 2s was at 7.43, the 3s was at 11.56v...so I'm thinking that maybe the batts are not the problem.
Heart rate! Hell yeah, I didn;t think I even had on until then! It happened to Mandie first, and she hit a phone pole, no damage. I took it for spin, and it went sailing down the street. Finally had to say "f" it and curb job it to flip it on it's lid, broke the rear bulks at the shock towers.....no biggie, they were the stockers! no other damage though....and imagine...5s open throttle with a 10xl stock gears, 18/51....the thing was screaming!

FWIW, I had a brand new Spektrum receiver with occasional problems and it turned out to be the antenna wire.

BTW: Replacing the antenna wire on a Spektrum is a PITA! They solder the wire right next to a few itty bitty surface mount components and then the use some kind of rubbery glue stuff to help hold the antenna in place.

I thought about that, but where? It's already away from everything else...

Move it just to see if thats the problem. If it doesn't help, you eleminated one possibility. Check the antenna wire, as well.

I wasnt running lipo, but i doubt it would make any difference. I think Warriors need to run with switches, im running the one that came with my spektrum, running it in my LSP now too without problems. Use a switch, im 99.9% sure it will fix the problem.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

Very similar actually, only difference is he was using lipo and receiver pack.

Newe- If you already have it placed on the side where a second servo would go, id try a shock tower, but i dont really like that idea... hmm.

I'll try both....but it's weird......I hate this li saver stuff....i prefer the Quark....don't have the issues.....but then, you got heat issues! ARG! Oh well. With the gmaxx, where would you put the rx for a change up?

Hmmmm, is still think it's connected to the li saver some how...i'll try the rx first, then add a switch, then try without li saver...any other ideas are welcome. It seems to be the same prob as the people that go in reverse full throttle.

Is your li-saver the car version? If you got it off Mike it is. I highly doubt its the li-saver, since im also using one in my LSP right now without any problems.
