Thunder power TP8000-3S4P and GMAXX - 05.19.2005, 03:58 AM

Im thinking of getting a pair of these packs.......From the measurements it doesnt look like thes batteries will fit in the chassis.......The packs are 7 1/2" long, when I measured teh lenght between teh Gmaxx battery straps its almost 8" long...... also the height might interfere with the servos....Will these battery fit the Gmaxx?..... Anybody running these packs?

Also, can someone give me a link to a good online store?

Here's link to the packs Im talking about, its the TP8000-3S4P

It might be too tight, if you mount the servos upside down, you even might need some spacers to get even higher with the servo arm.

What is your main goal with these lipoly?

Runtime or weightsaving?

If it's for the runtime, you just have to make it fit, if it's the weight, go for the Kokam 3200's (i don't know if you've seen the maxamps.com new lipoly range? it's there since a week or so..)

I want the most runtime for my maxx, I hope I have enough power to not worry about teh weight...... I think I hve an idea to make it fit by extending the battery holder a few inches to the back, just not sure how much room I have, my maxx is all apart right now..... thanks Serum..
