Flightpower help - 03.14.2007, 10:10 AM

Heres the deal guys, I plug my balancer (v-balancer) into my 989, i plug in the battery main leds to pack, than the balancer plug.

It is showing that one cell in the pack is below 3V but it still charges if i dont use the balancer, it did this from factory.. any help?

Probably you need to charge it for a few minutes( till the weak cell goes over 3v) without the balancer, and then reconnect the balancer to equalize the cells without the main battery leads being connected to the charger. After the cells are equalized, restart charging.

Thats the odd part, i charged 1300mah into it after running, tried the balancer, it shows each cell is orange (second bar on battery fuel gauge) and yet it shows the red bar that one cell is below 3V (red flashing fuel gauge).

Is it possible that the pack is defected by the factory?

I have no idea, is it possible to check the individual cell voltage?
When charging the pack stays cool and it doesnt look puffed.. hmm.

Yes.. just use a voltmeter on the taps connector pins.. you can check each cell.

Ok.. ill check that, but i doubt thats the problem because my pack is at 15.35V.. this is not fully charged..

How do i know what cells i am looking at? Just check through tap 1,2,3,4,5,6?

Just checked, every cell is 3.83V.. I think my v-balance is messed up.

I think it is the balancer as well. The volt meter says it is good.

Peace!
