Just got a revo, its gonna be brushess!... - 04.05.2007, 11:31 PM

Well I just got a revo 2.5 from a friend with the following upgrades:

Traxxas tubes (red)
Tekno wing mount, fuel tank mount, receiver/rx pack mount
TRX 2.5 engine with resonator pipe
Center diff/ rear brake
Servos
+ much more....
...for $300! Its good to work at your LHS...

I am going to run the 2 speed with center diff powered by a Neu 1515 1y with a Quark 125b on 4s TrueRc 8k packs...

Pics:

Battery/esc plate is done

Battery mount is almost done

Almost complete! Just waiting for Mike's new motor mount, should be here Friday. Also I am using the same battery strap as glassdoctor, it works very well!

Its begging for the mount!

Shinny!

Bye:018: Questions/comments welcome...

nice. Mike makes a motor mount that accepts brushless motors that bolts right up to the nitro motor mount it is in the store.

Hey, NICE truck man! Every time I see these E-Revo's, makes me want to build one too. Only if i had the money... maybe next year I will.

WWHHUUUOOOO, look at THAT center balance! I could be mistaken, but i think i even see the shock pre-load increased on the battey side! :005: Isn't that 1200 grams on one side?!?

The lipo is about 625g + the esc, on the other side there will be the motor and motor mount, plus 2 servos. It is a little off but nothing to worry about...

I got it at Home Depot, the plate is 1/8" thick and the batt tray is 1/16" thick...

More pics later if I get the motor mount today!....

well I checked online and they were out of the medium strap. it might be over kill :005: but I went to the large, 2 inch wide. The good thing is its only $5 for 36 inches. I should be able to do 2 cars with it.

I see the old version of the Tekno wing mount :). I'm curious how it will hold up, since they have made a newer (and I'd assume better) version. Looks like a clean setup!

Metal, the newer one is probably slightly stronger, but the main thing is its adjustable.
