i'm about to order one, but am curious why the description only states one mounting location while his CRT mount lists the two possible locations..

The only reason I think it might not be mountable in the front of the chassis, opposite the servo, is that the mount might extend past the chassis edge where it angles upward. A quick e-mail to Mike should answer the question though.

Personally, I like the idea of the motor behind the servo and batteries on the opposite side in order to better balance the chassis. Otherwise, you could end up with as much as ~14oz of more weight on one side than the other depending on how you mount your batteries.

hmm well i ordered one, so we'll see.. i'm running two battery packs, that's why i need a front left position on the motor.

I think he posted it there yesterday, but really amazing work. This is great especially for me, because I don't have the tools nor the materials to make a motor mount at home, and with these, they are priced great and the best quality out there.:027: Now I'll have plenty of options for my next rc (truggy).

This mount looks awesome, it makes mine look outdated already, and I just got it from Mike less than a month ago! I don't think this mount works to the left-front location, because when I got mine he asked me where I wanted to mount my motor. Also, there is not really enough room to mount an XL motor to the front left. Mine would not fit, but I bet that a motor that had wires coming out the side instead of the end would fit there.

BTW, how much time does this saves one while he is converting a nitro vehicle?

Personaly it will save mt most of a day, out shoping for metal, taps and a vice.
And probably another full day of hard work sawing fileing measuring and taping, and maybe some money.

If I had a full workshop it may only save a couple of hours.

i can't seem to find a pinion puller at any hobby shop, except for the one that's closed for a week.. so I'll try it with the 9L, and then swap my 1512 2.5d in.. need to find a way to mount batteries.. I've been putting that step off till last.
