Mamba Max and Spektrum receiver programing - 05.05.2007, 07:25 PM

Ok, so I've been thinking about how to program my ESC and receiver and I'm stumped.

Which do I do first? Do I set everything up then turn on the power at the ESC, program the reciever, then the ESC? Or is it the other way round? :032:

In my mind it makes sense to do the receiver first, but I thought I would ask you guys to verify that for me.

Thanks!

reciever first. Then ESC.

The ESC needs to know where the center and end points of the thottle are to program correctly. If you program the ESC first then the reciever the center and end points of the throttle could change and effect the performance of the MM.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

If possible, use a receiver pack to lock in your Spektrum. It should help prevent any mishaps.

However, the Mamba should be fine, as it has a programmed safety where it must detect neutral before it arms.

BL Revo: CF G2R, LMT1940/7, 6S FP 30C Lipos, MMM, Hitec 5955TG
CRT .5: 7075 Ext Chassis, LMT1930/7, FP 25C 3S Lipos, MM

I can do that, I have my stock Revo receiver pack. I'll charge it up and use it for the programming. Thanks for the tip.

Use the MM for power to your Spektrum Rx for binding it
Once you've bound your Rx to the Tx, turn off the MM
Turn on the MM, go full throttle till you hear 4 beeps, then full reverse until 4 beeps and then neutral until 4 beeps
Turn off the MM, turn back on and enjoy
I just did this with mine yesterday...piece of cake
