Hi Guys
I currently have a tyrannosaurus .18 nitro and my brother currently has a rc 10 with a hacker brushless motor and a mgm controller ok first i would like to know is there anyone that has converter the tyrannosaurus to electric because guys i have to beat him and that thing is quick another idea i have is get a car already electric and put a new motor and controller anyone recommend and stuff as i dont know anything something that is super quick all ideas will be great guys i have to beat him at something.
OK, so you are saying that you want fast. How fast do you want/need to go? What does your brother have? An RC10 what?
For a super fast setup that's pretty easy and inexpensive, go with a 4-tec then figure out the greatest number of cells that it will fit and then get the Mamba Max motor that will turn the greatest number of rpms on that number of cells. Within the Mamba Max line, for 4S the 4600 would be the fastest, for 3S the 5700 would be fastest, and for 2S the 7700 would be the fastest.
If you go with an off road vehicle like an RC10B4 or RC10T4, you could run a 4S lipo pack with a 4600 motor and that will get you easily in excess of 60 mph. The advantage of running an off road vehicle is that they have more ground clearance. You will have to take measures to keep the vehicle from taking flight. I used wings on the front and back of my T4 to keep it on the ground at speed.
Thanks guys it good to be welcomed make me feel warm inside
guys im thing of getting one of those ezilla with 2 motors is it possible to put to brushless in there or will that just screw the gear box up in secconds
maybe not the most powerfull ones but to med size ones should get it a bit of go
I'm not familiar with the ezilla, but typically, going with a powerful brushless system also involves upgrading some parts. I'd just try it and see, then upgrade parts as they break.
With brushless, you'll only need one motor. You could use the open motor spot to mount your esc.
