Plugs on the Lehner motors? - 06.08.2007, 02:17 AM

How long are the plugs on the back of the Lehner motors? Trying to figure a new layout for the new motor and need to know the length. Thanks

Without measuring exact, the wires are about 1.5-2" long, but there are no plugs. And the wires are very stiff like the Wanderer motors (they are just the coil wires brought outside the can).

EDIT: Oops nevermind, thought the thread said "Neu" for some reason. Early morning on a Friday is not the time for me to post apparently. :)

Hi, yes the hi-amp wires are shorter (less than one inch) and very stiff, besides no connectors are soldered to the wires. What I've done on my recently arrived Lehner (1940/7 hi-amp) is to solder a short 12-silicon-gauge to the wires and solder 5.5 gold connectors to the other side of the wires (where the ESC is connected).

Bye

Quark Monster Pro. Actually I'm using a Neu 1515 1y/f motor (2.200 rmp/volt) and I'm very intrigued to compare that Neu with the Lehner (the Lehner is arrived just a couple of days ago, so I don't had the time to test it). Anyway I reckon that the performance will be very similar.

Bye.

I believe it was hydro marine(germany)

And I did NOT get the high amp version so it should have plugs and not wires sticking out, correct?

Correct. Hydro Marine is the new Lehner distributors. Its site is german only but you can get in touch with them by email (they speak english well).

andreazinno,

Thanks for the info. If Mike doesn't get any in soon, I'll drop them an email. I'll probably pay way too much for it, but at this point, I may need one.

Yeah, the one lehner I priced out of Germany, they wanted 40 euros shipping and the price was already over $300 for the motor alone with the euro conversion.

Yes, a bit expensive. I live in Italy and the only benefit to buy the motor in Germany is that I can avoid the tax (across the Europe there are no taxes on inter country purchasing) but, thanks to the curent euro-dollar exchange rate, is more convenient, for European people, to buy the motor in United States (but then You have to add shipping plus taxes)

Bye

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
