Question Bl Crt.5 - 09.26.2007, 02:25 PM

Hi, boys..finaly i will convert my Nitro to El, not cuz im tired of Nitro, just to race 4wd INdoor :)

The Motormount should come next week :)..but i still woundering a few things

I will use a GTB frm Novak, and a 5.5 - 7.5 sintred motor, and 12-13T pinions that ive ordred.

Now, the batteries...i have a LOT of 3600-3700 and matched 4200 packs here, but il use them normaly for my 2/4wd comp buggys..So i was planning on Lipos

have been using LiPos for a while and i am familiar with them, but the LHS have a LOT of Lipos on sale, so the 3600mah 2s 20-30c isperfect for my wallet...can they handle ? or do i need higher Mah to reach higher Amps BUrst and Const?

I use Maxamps 2s 5Ah packs on a MM 4600 system and they work fine. I get around 30-35 minutes of runtime so that equates to 8.57A average draw and around 50A burst current. I don't know how the GTB system compares to the MM system so it's hard to say if you'll get the same results.

I would go with a 5.5 or 6.5. I had a novak 7.5 with a lrp sphere comp and it didn't have enough power. also I think you are going to want to gear higher.

currently I run a peak 6.5 with a 16t pinion on a gtb ss.

The Novak systems certainly do run differently from the Mamba Max's.

The Mamba Max's will probably have stronger peaks, but will probably end up drawing less power up top and such.

The Novak's won't pull as many spikes down low, but since they generally have a lot of power even up high in the RPM range, they tend to suck up a lot of juice to create that top end power.

OK...Hmmm, hard do choose.

I can find a HV 4.5r for 280d´s
A GTB ESC for around 100-150...
MM setup ESC and a Motor,ex 5700 for around 180-200...

maybe i should get the MM ESC, and find another motor??, maybe a HV 4.5r.?

what would you guys picked up? remeber this is only for indoor "racing" @ a pretty small, tight track...
