Project E-Revo - 11.13.2007, 12:05 AM

My 3.3 roller arrived today all set for a bl conversion. I have stripped the nitro gear from it, I will get a black wing for it and may try the new Traxxas mount. I'm still up in the air about which motor\esc I will use. I'll be making the jump to lipo for this bad boy too! 4s 8000 mah is the plan.

I've installed the rc-monster motor mount so I can keep the nitro tranny and lower CoG.

I will post updated pics as the project progresses. I have lunsford hinge pin's for it, and a sheet of 3mm carbon fiber I will make the electronics and battery mounts from.

I'm sure I'll have some questions for you guys and it won't be a fast build. I have to budget this one, so it will take a few months to get it all rolling.

that does look nice.

if your on a budget i would recommend 9xl/mm it works great. i have it on my revo with a 4 cell and omg its nice. like i do see any reason to upgrade any time soon.

also where did you get the cf from. i want some so i can make a little box to protect my lipo in.

Thanks guys. a 9xl would get me running fastest. I have a ubec and MM sitting in a box. I will wait until late Jan to make that decision though. I want to see if this fabled MMM comes to pass.

I got the CF from www.fullforcerc.com

I will be locking it in second.

I cut some already with my dremel for a couple small pieces for my Rusty. After I mock up the mounts with carboard, i will trace the templates on the cf sheet with sharpie then go to my friends hose. He has a band saw and drill press. I'm going to counter sink the screws on the battery tray If I don't get lazy and get the tekno tray.

Personally, I'm gonna get lazy (and cheap) and get the Tekno. I may to something with CF though. Maybe a battery brace or something....

yes, I am. All of the blue aluminum around the truck will be stripped to natural finish.

I'll be starting tonight! I'm stopping by the grocery store on the way home for some easy off oven cleaner and steel wool. I'm expecting a bit of elbow grease to be needed.
