2600 Kv rated motors? which one? - 01.06.2008, 09:13 PM

okay so i was looking at the Ammo 36-56-2600 for my race spec revo. tekno used a neu 1512/2d motor(2600Kv) and the mamba max controler, which is the same kv rating and esc that i was going to use. i was wondering if there was a nemesis or feigao XL motor with a 2600Kv rating(or similar 2500-2700). it will be run on 3s lipo and set up to race. cant afford the neu, or any motor that cost more than $120 so if someone could point to a feigao or similar motor that be great. thanks

http://cgi.ebay.com/Feigao-540-10L-B...QQcmdZViewItem

Here a Feigao 10L on ebay. 2458KV

You could also use a Feigao 7xl at 2382kv and gear it a tooth or 2 higher. The larger motor should allow the taller gearing no problem. Thats probably your best bet IMO.

Those specs have been wrong for a while now. The actual KV is what jhautz said: 2382

unloaded is what almost every manufacturer goes by except Lehner/BK so its the one that gives you the best comarison from brand to brand.

ok thats cool then. and i could gear that probly 18/36 instead of the 18/38 i planned and get about 35mph speeds like i would with the 2600 ammo? is there another motor out other than the neu that would get about 2600 Kv?

if you can spare the dough ($210) check the 6xl motor out on this page.
http://finedesignrc.com/motorshacker.asp
if you can bore out your 5mm pinion to 6mm check this motor out.

much more power than the feigao.

okay well like i said before i cant put much mroe than $150 into the motor. so a feigao 7xl or 6xl both on 18/36 gearing will give me about 35mph speeds and wheelies all over the place? thats what im looking for. enough torque to rip the wheels up, and fast enough to be a track truck on 3s lipo. and no i cant bore out the tekno electriclutch thingy. i dont want to try atleast. any other inexpensive but crazy powered motors out there?

I doubt anything will on 3s

If you want power go with 4s or more
