Well then you have mod issues etc...

Personally I'd spend $115 on MM - If you toast it max it will cost you is $50 and you can always resell for $80-90 when the MMM comes out...

Exactly! You can buy the MM and replace it through Castle 3 times for the price of single Quark 125.

How's this? Just by sending it to Castle to be fixed/repaired? Nice to know this.

Nope. I gave up on the MMM. I bought two MGM22418 controllers and will run them until they stop working. Maybe by then CC will have the MMM out on the shelves and have all the bugs worked out...maybe. Hey I like that Maybe Max Maybe (MMM). So that is what the MMM stood for all along.

People... Stop waiting for it! It will happen someday, but who knows when. Castle is doing what they should have done all allong... just keeping their mouths shut.

I doubt anyone will hear anything that is real until they are actually released. Which will be.... who cares, I gave up on waiting for them long ago.

All I can say is when it does finally get released, it better be good or I will be even more pissed it took them so long.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Ahmen - On a different topic thought it does seem an odd business strategy though to release the sidewinder unless they intended to kill the MM in due course.

The SW ships with the same motor so why would you pay an extra $50 to get a MM? If/When the MMM comes out it will take the higher 0.125 / .1 scale end of the market hence who'll buy the MM.

It is difficult to see that margins will be improved on the SW and it must have cost them a bunch on tooling / R&D. I presume they are seeing increased competition with NOVAK and Tekin and this is the response to move to a lower price point. I think would also be good to look at a rebuildable motor to get it ROAR compliant.

Sorry just thinking and typing...

PS I see on Traxxas forum that Tony (stampedeproject) has his SW now too

They are just like the mgms really. Lots of different escs for different price points. I'm just worried people will blow the SW up really quickly due to their lower current handling abilities. I think the MMM is going to be priced high enough the MM will still have a big market. There have been things said about an upgraded MM even though it seems to be mostly people making things up. A 4s MM with built in UBEC would be nice especially if the current capacity was upped.

I only found out about the MMM when I started looking into doing a brushless savage and after reading a thread on the MMM I gave up instantly on waiting for it. I still want it and will most likely buy it when it comes out but I will use a MM in the mean time.

Savage: FLM Conversion, 6s, MMM, CC 1520.
Mini-T Pro: Micro Pro 6800kv, Lipo, HS-81mg, Dirt Hawgs
M18MT: Quark 33A, Y22S 6000kv, FP 2s Lipo
LRP S8-BX: RC-M Conversion, Tekin RX8 B1600KV, 6S.

I dont think the MM will be killed. The sidewinder is certainly going to replace a large share of the MM sales, but it won't replace the ESC. I think they will end up redesigning the MM so that it fits between the MMM and sidewinder better. Maybe something along the lines of a GM controller I hope.

Think the MMM could be closer than some expect, as the software has obveously been worked out as demonstrated by the new sidewinder, and the update that came out at the same time.

Really not much of a leap from the MM to the MMM with good software...

I won't give up on waiting for the MMM, I've got two ofna 1/8th's waiting for it. If it takes alot longer I'll have time to start gathering 3S lipo's that I run in my 1/10th 4wd buggy now anyway. Then I still need motor mounts, battery trays, servo mod's, ect.

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...
