Update on my trinity NOW chassis... - 01.30.2008, 12:06 AM

Well i knocked it out in my spare time today.... pictures show it with the stock upper deck, the alumnium upper deck and the tie braces are still at the hangar i they were made out of thinner material that was type-O so i still have to heat treat them before they go on the truck i tried my hardest this afternoon to try and bend or even flex it with my hands with the stock upper deck and it wont budge, i might try running it as is, but the aluminum upper and braces are gonna make it reallly strong. (There was abosultely zero twisit or flex in the chassis with the upper and braces bolted on and they wernt even heattreated yet.)

oh and i never could get the raised edges to work for me and still be able to stuff a standard servo on there so i left them off this one. Also disregard the crooked super gear i had attempted to make a mlst one fit but it didnt work and i havent taken it off yet.

btw its .125 6061 T6 if your wondering, the top deck and brace are made out of .100 7075 i would definetly say its strong enough.

Should hold up nicely. will the rest of the truck stay together though? It looks good.

as you can see in the pic ill only be running 2s and that should slow the truck down quite a bit.

the only thing i could see breaking after ive fixed the chassis is the front upper arms, the rest of the truck seems pretty good, the loud open gear diffs kinda bother me (the noise) but apaerantly they are just loud and will quite down after they wear in a little bit, thats what trinity told me atleast....speaking of them it took them almost two weeks to get me the wrong parts i was sent three pinions instead of 3 spurs like i ordered so i sent them back and my spurs should be here maybe by the end of this week......

check this out added the shortened gorilla strap, its too cool now haha

mounted the body, the chassis sticks out about a 1/8 inch on either side of the body at the bottom but i think it still looks better than stock.

btw brian or mike or whoever deleted it im sorry about the thread earlier today i dunno what i was thinking, my bad, wont happen again.

That's not the same body as in you avatar is it? It looks far too small. What happened earlier today. I'm curious now.
