I haven't had a lot of time w/the motor, so I was wondering everyone's experiences w/the motor

I pretty much run zero timing on all of my motors. They are so powerful that I wouldn't notice thee difference. Plus lower timing equals lower heat.

My Medusa 50 x 3300 runs very cool on 3S in my e-crt.5, but the MM esc gets a bit hot (150 - 160F). Any tips on settings for a cooler running esc?

Lower timing, increase punch control, add cooling hole in windshield.
And if all else fails, I suppose you could use a fan (bleh!).

Thanks Brian!
I think I'm running "normal" timing (middle selection). I'll set it to lowest and bump up the punch control after that. I definitely need to get some holes in the windshield. My esc sits right behind it on top of the steering servo.
Just to be on the safe side I picked up one of these at walmart for $14. It's a tight fit, but maybe with a slash body. I figured why spend $14 for a tiny Novak fan when I could have this for the same price. Plus this one has 3 speeds. Sweeeet.

I use one in my Rustler on 5S and geared 20/34 and it barely gets warm after several passes. No heatsink and no fan. Timing at medium for the 4-pole motor.

Hmm, I'd be interested in seeing the inverter or extension cord you are using for the needed 120v.

I have a 2200 on 4s in my .5. Awesome motor. I think I'm running normal or low.. IDK.
Very fast, standing backflips w/ a zippy 4s 2100 pack. Can't go wrong for <$40.

Absolutely...Mike sells one that would work nicely.

The 4S 2100 batts. Nice price and easy fit on the small chassis. Close to the same runtime as a 3S 3300 pack.
What I'd like to try is some of Mike's 2500 cells, but so far they are just in the 2P config. Maybe he will do a 4s1p 2500 pack...? :)
