Need SOme Help Deciding....

Ok so my 21st B-day is on the tenth and my family just came up to viit today to celebrate. Turns out my grandma gave me $500 in bonds when i was a young lad and i also got another $400 from my family. So basically i have this money thats burning a whole in my pocket and need some help deciding on what to blow it on!!!

Im looking for equipment for My Erevo, which currently has MMM/Teckno Neu 1515/1y. My current and only packs for this are my hard case polyquest 30c's for a total of 4s 5000mAH 30c. Im thinking that i want another set of batteries (either 5s or 6s) as well as a charger because my EOS 0606i isnt the fastest thing out there.

So i was thinking of this

Charger: Hyperion EOS 0610i Duo II = $300
I would need a power supply though, any suggestions?
Im guessing $80-100.

Batteries: either two of the 2500mAH 5s 25c packs from rc-monster in series for 5s 5000mAh 25, $120 each x 2 = $240

or a 6s setup using the new zippy flightmax 30c 3s 5000mah packs in parallel (these are out of stock however and i dont feel like waiting, but i could get 4 packs which means more runtime), $63 each x 4 = $250

Im also looking into getting CVD's (MIP 1665) as ive heard they stand up well to BL power. about $120

So each Setup costs roughly $800

OR

should i beef up my drivetrain with RCM hybrid diffs with the MIP cvd's and just get a Hyperion EOS 0610i Net and power supply with Two Zippy FLighmax 30c 5000mAH 3s.

Sorry for such a long post but i cant decide and need help!!!

I like option #2, I have the Hyperion 0610i and the Ofna 18 amp PS and get great results, the hybrid diffs would be great, IMO I would stay with the stock drivelines

Upgrade your charger to the duo! The 18Amp Ofna PS will charge 2 3s packs at 5A without a problem. I would stick with a 4s setup with the 1y though, otherwise you'll just be gearing way down to keep it manageable. So get yourself another pair of 2s packs. I have heard the Mip cvds aren't all there cracked up to be. Generally speaking the stock shafts hold up well and are cheap to replace(generally find 4 packs on ebay for about $25 shipped). If you want to spend all your money the hybrid diffs are supposed to be awesome, have you blown your stock diffs yet though? $250 in diffs is hard to swallow! I can buy a lot of stock replacements for that much and mine have held up fine so far.

ive had to replace my rear diff once, and ive heard from a member on here with virtually the same setup that the MIP's are working well for him.

Skip the Duo, and get the 610I they can be had pretty cheap on certain sites, well more than 1/2 off what you listed for the duo. You can wire up ethier set of packs to charge them on the 610i.

don't forget that you can sell the 606i for at least 80 bucks...

KEEP THE CASH!!!! lol, probably the best idea but it doesnt exactly make me happy, lol. And ive actually had someone interested in my 0606i just from this thread, so i would put the money from that towards the 0610i Duo if i do sell the 0606i.

OK, so here is what i ended up ordering:

- Charger: Hyperion EOS 0610i Duo II Dual
- Batteris: 2X RCM 5s 2500mAH 25c for a 5s 5000mAH series setup
- Thunder power balancing taps (X2)
- MIP CVD's 1665 front and rear
- new rear wing (white traxxas)
- new battery compartment doors (traxxas)
- 18T mod8 pinion to gear down on 5s

I also decided to go to a single servo setup using:

Servo:Hitec HS-7955TG V2 Dig High Resolution HT Titanium Gear
AL servo arm for single servo use
hard servo saver spring.

All in all id say i did pretty well, A sale is pending on my 0606i, so that will be going towards the new Charger.

I wouldnt go below 20 amps and in our economy I try to buy from american companies when possble, the only product I would but from HC is Zippy lipos
