What should I do? - 02.15.2009, 01:58 PM

Well I got my tax return recently and I've been contemplating buying something 4wd. I came across two very nice finds. One is an electric 4-tec. traxxas doesn't really make the CF chassis anymore and it's pretty much BL ready. I have a bl system to put in this...

The other is a hyper St roller with an rc-monster mount. Both are around the same price. I'm just not sure witch one to get and what setup I should put in the Hyper st if I get it. Any opinions welcome.

As far as the 4tec goes, well I have the nitro model and do not really like it. There are better on road cars out there, I usually favour a shaft driven car over a belt car as there is less maintanence to do to them. Plus if you play on non prepared surfaces the belt car will most likely damage the belts. Plus if I am reading you post correctly the 4 tec is way overpriced...

Around the same price. It's 130. But considering that it has 3.3 diffs CF chassis RPM tower and aluminum knuckles all around it's not a bad price for the car that got me started in the hobby. I'll give it a little more thought but I'm leaning towards the hyper mainly because I want an MT.
