With the 6.5mm male, find a drill bit that is just about the same diameter as the wire your going to use. 12 gauge is easy and if your using the tekno kit, you will probably need longer wires than what the MMM comes with. if you use 10 gauge, peel the strands like I stated above to make the portion your going to solder fit into a smaller hole. You just want to
enlarge the hole of the male connector not put a slot. With a slot, the solder will spill out and wont look as clean.
I run 6S with long 12 gauge wires with 4mm connectors at the motor and I have no problems whatsoever. Hope that helps.
