I race my RC8T with a RC-Monster conversion in Rome, NY weekly. Last time out I finished second with a little show boating in the last couple minutes. I'm not racing in a big class but with many very good drivers. I had finished fourth against the nitro truggies, now they have me racing against the electric 1/8 buggies and I'm doing better. Many here have/do race their brushless truggies and do well. RC-Monster Mike races and does extremely well! Stum is an awesome racer, as is Arct1k. Those are just the ones I have met and raced personally.

They did not do an electric truggy class at the first pro-series event at CRC Raceway, but I was told there would be one in CT for their event later in the summer, not sure about the Delaware event.

It is an "official" class of pro-series with rules posted on the site now, and as more register and show up to events it will be a standard class. 1/8 buggy is already good sized, so I expect the truggy class to boom as the year goes on as many kits are out to convert as well as being sold by a few manufacturers ARR.

PS I had first pretty locked up at the last club event with my brushless 8ight-t (v1), but one of my ESC wires solder joint broke and took me out :( Kinda blew... she was handling great and I was driving pretty smooth with about a full lap lead at that point (racing nitro's).

1st race - 3rd - mgm+neu - car just did not brake
2nd race - 2nd - Tekin - in second final heat when I was 4s per lap faster then rest of the final, car stopped thanks to loosened motor screw.
3rd race today - Tekin - 3rd - race was stopped after 3 quals thanks to heavy rain so they just used best single heat. does not say much as qualifiers are not much about racing

I am still little bit fighting with rx8 setup and also today my mugen setup just did not work

I'm racing my XT8'09 and before that my RC8T and before that my XT8. But this season it has been my XT8'09 running the Tekin system. I am currently leading my local clubs points series for the truggy class. Its a mix of both nitro and electric. Last week I got the TQ and the A-main win.

Its been a tight battle all season. Nobody has won more than one week so far. There are 4 or 5 guys out there that than can win on any given day. Some electric, some nitro. Loads of fun when the competition is tight. Last week I had less than 2 seconds separating me and the 2nd place truggy going into the final lap of the main and there were 5 different cars that had the lead in the race at one point or another. Talk about a battle. Tooth and nail all the way to the final turn. We all came off of the stand with a big grin. Total blast.

RCPro in this area does not have a class that electric truggy can run. Only electric Buggy. All of the local tracks just mix them in with the nitros for club races and have no issues.

A side note.... I am actually gonna miss the next points race for my club becasue i am going to drive out the the RCM Bash. I am a little torn about doing that and giving up my lead and using the only drop I have for the season, but the RCM bash will be worth it. Thats gonna be a really fun event. So looking forward to it.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

thats what sucks in our series here, If you miss one race youll never catch up in points. My conversion will debut at either the next club race or the next points series race. Im tired of not getting to race due to engine tuning or problems. Now I just have to worry about the truck parts and I have a billion spares. Im sitting 4th in points right now. A win might get me up to second

How racing with nitros work? Here they have like 20minutes finals... Are you changing batteries as they are filling their tanks, or how that works? Since I would love to try with nitros (more ppl, more fun I guess, wallot always kicked my ass so far ;) but no idea how to do it..

There are batteries large enough to easily run the whole 20min. Here you just have to come in the pits, stop, and take back off. This weekend will be the first time I run my truck with the conversion.
