I just snagged one. Got a custom idea this might get used on. If not I'll make it work on the mini MGT Ive got sitting here.

I actually like that it comes with the drilling template. Makes it easy to make it work on just about anything.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

MIKAK I can somewhat agree with the logic, but everyone has been hounding Mike for two years to make a diff/motor mount that will fit into the Maxx truck(drop in fit) just like the other mounts he has made for other turck/cars. That is all that we wanted and asked for. Where did this universal thing come into play? The original design was a work of art and that is what a lot of us were hoping for. $89, $100, or $200 is beside the point. It was a direct fit into the Maxx truck which made things simple. Why could we not just get that? I am sure that most of us will find some way to make this work in our trucks, but there are others out there who will not be able to get this just right, because it was changed. No one is trying to make Mike or you feel bad, but this is not what we expected considering what we have been pushing for for more than 24 months of exchanging emails and posts on here.

The slipperential with 46T should fit into the G3 if you mount the CD mount like it is mounted in my build. At least if the size is consistent with normal mod1 46T gears.

Breathe old man, breathe .

I have some 46T Kyosho spur gears I can use with this mount on my gmaxx or supermaxx.

I am sure that this will all work out on some level. First off you cannot tell me that adding the bottom plate to this kit will make this setup an additional $200. That's just rediculous. That plate is a very simple piece to CNC. I can see making some changes to anything in an effort to improve the design for weight, and versitility, but what was wrong with the other design?

This is just like waiting for the Tesla electric sports car to be released, and ending up with an old rusty volkswagon bug with a shop fan motor installed on each wheel to propell it like 10-15 mph. It is just not what allot of us were expecting. Of course we may all be jumping to conclusions over how it works out. We shall see. Poor Harold is on the verge of having a heart attack after receiving note that the design was changed.

Mike I know you are reading these so please if possible there are quite a few of us that would still like to purchase a MAXX diff/motor mount just like the one you sold last time with the bottom plate. Is this possible?

No need to be sorry. Neither of them are my teams (still rooting for the Lions and 49'ers) so I pick the team opposite what everyone want to win just to piss people off here oon the ship. But now they're all happy.

I got to go to work. Damn hospital still open even though everything is close.

It even says not intended for inexperienced hobbiest lol. Drilling 4 holes in a bottom skid plate shouldnt be too hard for the average rc'er. Not everything can be bolt on especially with all the different stock and aftermarket e-maxx type chassis out there (I count at least 8 different configurations not all the same) especially this early stage in production of the mount. All I have to say is finally its here so dont complain. If your going to put this on a lightning chassis I personally would use a GA titanium or stock aluminum ue skid plate and drill and countersink the holes and it should be good to go so so simple.
