new to BL's ??4 my Rustler?? - 09.16.2006, 12:21 AM

I'm wondering if the mabma max combo's will work in my rustler?
How do they rate the motors? I can't tell one from the other.
I don't want it to tear the tranny apart thou.
What do you think?

The Mamba Max works in the Rustler. The motors are rated by kv, which is the RPM/volt. A good one for a Rustler on 6 cells with the ability to use more voltage later would be the 5700 system. You'll want/need a few upgrades, though. The first would be bearing carriers to hold 5x11mm bearings, RPM makes them. You'll also need an aluminum idler gear for the transmission.

if you lack the parts mentioned, shoot me a email or pm, i have some extras of those that need a home for a discounted price.

S^3: everyone wishes they could design modifications like these.

Which is the idler gear? Does it go Pinion to spur, spur to idler?
