Funny thing, when Rene and me speak english together, we feel like there is no language barrier at all :) Hehe, two times negative equals positive.

Also, for general info, every 10mph above 65mph has 2x the wind resistance. So 75mph has 2x the wind resistance as 65, and 85mph has 2x the resistance of 75mph. This is why a 300hp car can do about 150-160 but it takes a good 500+hp to do 200mph. You can imagine how hard it is to get from 190mph to 200mph. This is why so few cars do 200mph. The Corvette, despite the fact the new Z06 has 500hp, still "only" does 196mph because of this wind resistance.
Also why it takes a whole 1001hp to power the Veyron to 253mph.

you should be able to control that g2r with ease on pavement. i had no problems at all controlling mine running strapped road rages at that speed! my front wheels stayed an inch or two off the ground at around 40mph, and i had way more stability than the ntc3 i was racing!:dft012:

Actually...the Z06 Vette is about the same price as an M5. Agian, you are comparing a Sedan to a Sports car...Just the fact that an M5 can even keep up or almost keep up means it already wins, since its sedan vs sports car.
However, since the M5 did actually pull a better lap...the M5 wins lol...

What's wrong with a sedan with better sports car ambitions than the so called sports car? The M5 simple is a monster, so is the vet, but a sports car being joked around by a sedan.. That's hilarious, don't you think?

Thats what I'm saying lol...I think the M5 does .7g's on a skidpad, which is very darn respectable for being nearly twice as high and 1k pounds heavier.

I don't know what test showed the M5 with the faster lap times than a Z06.... but I'm pretty sure the new 08 Z06 will lay down much quicker times now. So the new M5 should actually be compared to the new Vette, which is faster than before.
Curiously I have seen tests of the Z06 that differed greatly.... it was just ok on one test but was fantastic on another... so much so that the article has to comment on it, that perhaps something was amiss in the first one. I don't remember where I read that but I did somewhere.
BTW, the fact that the M5 is a sedan makes it more amazing in what it can do... but that doesn't make it better than a 'sports car' imo. ;)

Personally, like glassdoctor said, the new '08 Z06 SS will be one badass car. The M5 has nothing on either. :D

Yea, the Z06 is an awesome car. But I am thoroughly disappointed that it still doesn't go 200mph after all these years. I mean even the M5 does 200mph...but the Vette, after competing with the Viper for like 10+ years, still hasn't broken that bearier.
