Just purchased my second HVMAXX system for my E Maxx. Has anyone here ever done this? I bought a new chassis to handle the four batteries and plan on mounting the speed controls piggyback. In the future I will probably need to upgrade the tranny gears and drive shafts.

Yeah, bual BL systems have been done. I think Johnnymaximma (or something like that) did it, just not with HV systems. |

Generally people just go to a larger single motor. Its cheaper, lighter and easier instead of having 2 controllers, sets of batts, etc.

I had 2 HV-Maxx's in an e-maxx with 28 GP3300's (14 cell's each).It was ok, faster than a MGT 4.6 and Savage 25. My Neu 1515 1y on 4s or a 9xl on 5s is faster and has more torque though. I short I think it would have been better to go with a BL combo that Mike has listed in his store. (BTW, I got 1 HV-maxx for free:027: )

I can see dual motors being hard on an ESC if both were highly inductive. Plus, I would think that a single motor would be more efficient than a single, properly sized one. After all, you are doubling the amount of bearings and drag for the mesh, right?
